Report: North Korea Prepares For Missile Launch Following Successful Detonation Of Nuclear Device
North Korea detonated a nuclear device.
This happening on Sunday at the Punggye-ri testing site.
Who knows what North Korea is preparing for.
Western Journalism reported that this nuclear device that was triggered by North Korea, was so strong that inflicted
two earthquakes who were in the span of 10 minutes. South Korea gave a
warning to the nation explaining that there is a preparation to lead a
missile test. This statement raised fear of a possible strike.
North Korea is probably trying to show the ability that they can
target the United States with nuclear weapons. On Monday, The Defense
Ministry of South Korea gave a statement that North Korea appears to be
preparing for another launch. Even though the date and time weren’t
revealed, the meaning of all this was obvious.
On Sunday, Jeffrey Lewis explained that if a nuclear strike happens,
it would cause more damage than a conventional one. Jeffrey said that
this hydrogen bomb can do a lot of damage. He told
VOX: “North Korea wants the ability to target the United States.”
Jeffrey Lewis is an expert on North Korea’s missile program of
the Middlebury Institute of International Studies.
One MIT nuclear expert, Vipin Narang, after the nuclear test,
concluded and explained that this “relatively inaccurate
intercontinental ballistic missile technology,” that is produced by Kim
Jong Un’s can “destroy the better part of a city.”
It turns out that in case of any given threat from North Korea
against the United State or any allies, The Defense Secretary, James
Mattis gave a warning of a “massive military response.” He
continued: “We are not looking to the total annihilation of a country,
namely North Korea, but as I said, we have many options to do so.” James
added: “Kim Jong Un should take heed of the United Nations Security
Council’s unified voice.”
According
to Chicago Tribune, there is a scheduled council, which will be the
second one this week, with the main discussion about North Korea’s
latest test. North Korea declared that these missiles were a response to
the military drills that were held by U.S. and South Korea.
