These Painkilling Marijuana Tampons May Be The End of Period Cramps

Both medical experts and common people have been slowly recognizing the medicinal properties of marijuana. The plant has been touted as a potential treatment for anything from glaucoma to insomnia, but it is mostly being used as a painkiller. Marijuana can relieve different kinds of pain, and now it seems that it can also relieve menstrual cramps.

Foria, a company which makes pioneering cannabis products, has recently made a product called Foria Relief, which is essentially a “tampon” that can be used to relieve menstrual cramps and pain. The suppositories are inserted as a normal tampon and contain 3 ingredients – THC oil, organic cocoa butter and CBD isolate. According to Foria, the combination of THC and CBD “activates certain cannabinoid receptors in the pelvic region when introduced into the body.”
